NOTICE: VISA FOR ENTRY OF INVESTORS, EXPERTS, HIGHLY SKILLED WORKERS AND ENTERPRISE MANAGERS INTO VIETNAM

  1. In order to better prevent and control the spread of Covid-2019 among the community, the Government of Viet Nam has decided to:
  • Temporarily suspend the 15-day visa exemption to people holding ordinary passports of the Republic of Korea, Italia, Britain, Russia, Belarusia, and Japan. People holding ordinary passports of the above- mentioned countries must have valid visa in order to enter Vietnam. 
  • Temporarily suspend visa issuance to all foreigners to Viet Nam.
  • Temporarily suspend the validity of the Visa Exemption Certificates issued to Vietnamese nationals and their spouses and children.

As per Notification No 330/TB-VPCP dated on the 15 September 2020, Vietnam Government has announced that  eligible people to enter Vietnam include Vietnamese citizens, foreigners holding diplomatic and official passports, experts, investors, corporate executives,  enterprise managers highly skilled workers and their relatives, foreign students studying in Vietnam, and relatives of Vietnamese citizens from foreign countries. To enter Vietnam, foreign investors, experts, corporate executives and their family members, foreign students to study in Vietnam need to have permission from relevent authorities of Vietnam and have to follow all required procedures and and regulations relating to visa/permission to enter Vietnam and quarantine regulations. Their sponsors/business partners/employers in Vietnam have to work with the authorities of Vietnam for their permission to enter Vietnam. The procedures are as follows:
  • Contact the local department of health for quarantine arrangement approval.
  • Contact the local department of labour for approval of the eligibility of the persons entering to Vietnam.
  • Submit a letter to the local provincial people’s committee with specific details as well as travel plans of the persons entering to Vietnam.
  • Submit a letter and necessary documents to the Immigration Department for visa approval.
  • Send scanned image of the visa approval letter issued by the Immigration Department to the Embassy of Vietnam (email: consular@vietnamembassy.org.uk) for visa collection’s instruction. The Embassy of Vietnam in the UK can only issue visas to you upon receiving visa approval letters from the Immigration Department of Vietnam.
  • Submit a negative Covid-19 PCR certificate (granted from 3-5 days prior to the departure date) to relevant airlines before boarding.
