In order to better prevent and control the spread of Covid-2019 among community, the Government of Viet Nam has decided:
1.1. Temporarily suspend the 15-day visa exemption to:
– People holding Republic of Korea ordinary passport, effective from 00h00, 29 February 2020,
– People holding Italian ordinary passports from 00h00, 3 March 2020,
– People holding British ordinary passports from 00h00, 12 March 2020,
– People holding Russian, Belarusian and Japanese ordinary passports from 12h00, 21 March 2020.
People holding ordinary passports of the above- mentioned countries must have valid visa in order to enter Vietnam. This decision will remain valid until further notice.
1.2. Temporarily suspend visa issuance to all foreigners to Viet Nam, effective from 00h00, 18 March 2020 and this decision will remain valid for 30 days.
1.3. Temporarily suspend the validity of the Visa Exemption Certificates issued to Vietnamese nationals and their spouses and children, effective from 00h00, 22 March 2020.
1.4. Temporarily suspend entry to foreign nationals, with the exception of those entering Viet Nam for diplomatic and official purposes, or other such extraordinary purposes (including foreign guests attending or otherwise in service of important foreign affairs events, experts, business managers, and high-tech workers, effect from 00:00, 22 March 2020.
2.1. Entrants into Viet Nam shall be subject to medical screening and mandatory quarantine at designated facilities, with the exception of those entering Viet Nam for diplomatic and official purposes, or other such extraordinary purposes (including experts, business managers, and high-tech workers), who shall exercise proper forms of quarantine at their place of residence in accordance with the regulations.
2.2. All entrants to Viet Nam will be screened while onboard after landing and will be medical checked and tested later on.
