 NOTICE NO. 2/17

On 12 June 2017, there are media reports in Viet Nam on the decision by the Vietnamese Government to extend visa exemption policy for British, French, German, Italian, Spanish citizens travelling to Viet Nam (single entry, for all purposes, and passport having at least six-month validity) for up to 15 days (inclusive of dates of entry and exit) to 30 June 2018.

(Note: According to Vietnam immigration law, to be eligible for visa exemption, your passport must have at least six months validity. If you wish to enter Viet Nam at least two consecutive times without visa, the next entry must be at least 30 days after the previous exit. Otherwise, you still need a visa).

Up to now, the Embassy has not yet received formal notification on this decision from relevant authorities in Viet Nam.

In accordance with NOTICE 1/17, between now until official notification is received by the Embassy, all visa applications will be processed as normal and all related fees will be non-refundable.

Please take note of this information before deciding on your visa application.
